初日のオープニングパーティーでは高須賀千江子さんによるダンスパフォーマンスがあり、今回の展示がまたひとつおもしろい角度で見れるかと思います。おいしいチャイやサモサもありますので、ご都合が付くようでしたら是非楽しんでいただけたらと思います。

［作家テキスト］
ピロロロロロー。鳥の鳴き声を聴き、辺りは見渡す限りの木々と植物で生い茂っています。
あちらこちらから生き物の気配がして、自分はここに存在するちっぽけな生き物のひとつなんだと感じる場所が森です。
太古から森の中には生物が雑多に生息し、それぞれが生命を育んできました。
森における文化は、そこに生きるたくさんの生き物の数だけ、存在しているのです。

人類は、今から1万2000年程前に農耕を始めたと言われています。
それまでの狩猟採集による食料の確保から、食料を自らの手で収穫するようになったのは、人類にとって世界が一変するような出来事でした。
食料の貯蔵によって得た時間で、人類は文明や宗教や国家を育んできたのです。

チクタク　チクタク。刻まれている時間の大きな流れの一片を、展示では見て貰えたらと思います。

人々は決して時代を切り離すことは出来ないし、また歴史は選択の出来ない決定した出来事です。
しかし、未来へ続くたくさんの道を選び、その一歩を造っていく尊さを、私たちは持っているのです。

I hear the birds peeping, and see trees and plants stretch as far as
the eye can see.
The place where we sense the signs of creatures everywhere, and
realize each of us is one of the vulnerable
creatures; that is the forest.
In the forest, various creatures have lived and each has survived
since the dawn of time.
There are as many types of culture as the number of the creatures
living in the forest.

It is said that Man started farming about 12,000 years ago.
The transition from hunting to harvesting was, for Man, the event that
drastically changed the way of living.
Man created civilizations, developed religion, and built nations with
time spared through preserving food.

Tick-tack tick-tack. In this exhibition, we would like you to witness
a fragment of time in the great span of history.

We cannot separate ourselves from our time, and history is the destiny
we cannot choose.
However, we have right to choose and pave the path that leads to the future.
